Trillium Dance Ensemble – Cast Bios

Ada Bavin

Ada was born and raised in Humboldt County, and has been dancing with Trillium since 2007. Growing up, she spent many summers training with companies like Joffrey Ballet School, Walnut Creek’s Diablo Ballet, and Millennium Dance Complex, where she was able to work with many established choreographers in a wide variety of styles.

She began teaching at Trillium in 2018, and since then has had the honor of choreographing multiple upper-level pieces for both their winter and spring performances. Ada feels so lucky to continue doing what she loves while sharing her passion for dance with the students of Trillium!

Grace Price

Grace’s love of dance began where she grew up in San Diego. As a young adult she trained with Alonzo King Lines Ballet in San Francisco before graduating from Humboldt State University with a degree in Kinesiology in 2021. Grace previously taught at Trillium and is so happy to be back dancing with everyone! Grace is a lover of sewing, reading, hiking, and enjoying quality time with her loved ones and kitty Momo. This year she is going back to school for her elementary education teaching credential and is excited to share her love of learning with the community.

Kendra Staton

Kendra started ballet at age 4 and had to be ushered offstage her first performance (dressed as a chicken) because she didn’t want to leave the stage. Not much has changed! She took a break from dance to birth her son Avery who is now among the tiniest dancers at Trillium. Kendra started teaching and performing with Trillium almost 20 years ago and is overjoyed to get to dance with ensemble again this year.

Amara Rex

Amara Rex has been dancing with Trillium for more than ten years now. Her favorite forms of dance are jazz, ballet, and contemporary. She is attending Cal Poly Humboldt with a major in psychology and a minor in dance and early childhood development. She hopes to work with children in the future to help them express themselves both emotionally and creatively. Amara plans to stay with Trillium and is incredibly honored to be apart of Ensemble.
